ViewSonic’s New Tablet to Dual-boot Windows 7 Pro and Android 2.2

Many electronic firms are trying to get a slice of the lucrative tablet market dominated by Apple’s iPad and the visual technology giant ViewSonic introduced what is claimed by the firm as the world’s first tablet that is equipped with both Windows 7 and Google’s Android platforms. The users can easily switch between the two platforms by tapping an icon on the display of this ViewSonic tablet.

The product, ViewPad 10 Pro, will be a simple transition for people who are familiar with Microsoft’s operation system.
It weighs slightly more than 830 grams, a little heavier than Apple’s iPad 2 at about 600 grams and comes with a price tag of about $799. It runs on Oak Trail Z670 1.5GHz processor which is Intel’s newest Atom processor known to give long battery life to tablets.
This dual-boot tablet is accompanied by a 3G radio, 32GB of onboard storage (expandable via Micro SD or USB), and a 3500mAh battery that is supposed to last for 4.5 hours of 1080p video playback.
