Apple to Launch 2011 MacBook Air in July

Apple may launch the 2011 MacBook Air in July and the Best Buy’s online store listing of the current MackBook Air as ‘not available’, adds more evidence to the rumor that a new model is soon coming.

The 2011 MacBook Air is expected to feature Intel’s new Sandy Bridge processors and Thunderbolt technology. Unfortunately, exact specifications on the new MacBook Air are unavailable.
However, according to a report from Apple Insider, Apple could start manufacturing the 2011 MacBook Air as early as next month. The report also speculates that the 11-inch MacBook Air will include a choice of Core i5 processors at 1.4 and 1.6 GHz, while the company’s 13-inch MacBook Air will have a Core i7 processor at 2.10 or 2.30 GHz. The report also suggests that the new MacBook Airs will support up to 8 GB of RAM.
There are also rumors that Apple’s decision to cram the Core i5 and i7 processers into the 11-inch MacBook Air could mean that they will be generating more heat than their previous 2010 models. This is seen as a major setback for the MacBook Air sales.
Other details on specifications and the pricing information are not available as of now.
