D-Link announced its new Amplifi Networking Range of products that are designed for managing high bandwidth network traffic using a combination of Wi-Fi and powerline networking.
The products range consist of a Media Router 1000 (DIR-657); Wi-Fi Booster (DAP-1525); Whole Home Router 1000 (DIR-645) which is supposed to be available from August; DHP-500AV Adapter; DHP-501AV Starter Kit (includes two adapters); and, a DHP-540 Four-Port Gigabit Switch.
The products have been designed ideally to provide an easy way to fully network your home and provide uninterrupted network connections in any room your choose.
The Whole Home Router 1000 and the HD Media Router 1000 use the company’s SmartBeam technology to extend your network’s range via 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and put four more Gigabit Ethernet ports anywhere you choose.
The Adapter and Gigabit switch give you screaming 500Mbps speeds from any electrical outlet.
The Media Router and Wi-Fi Booster cost $149.99 and $159.99 respectively, while the Whole Home Router will be available for $119.99. The starter kit inclusive of two adapters is priced at $159.99 and the Four-Port Gigabit Switch is available for $199.99. The DHP-500AV Adapter is priced at $99.99.
