Technology giant Asus has unveiled an updated version of the Eee PC netbook, called the Eee PC X101 which features a 10.1-inch display that supports a resolution of 1024 x 600, WiFi b/g/n for connectivity, two USB ports, a MicroSD slot and a 2600mAh battery.
This ultrabook also sports a well-spaced QWERTY keyboard and large trackpad. It runs either Windows 7 or Intel’s proprietary MeeGo operating system and is powered by Intel Atom N455, 1.6GHz processor, and offers 1GB of memory.
The netbook, which is one among what ASUS calls as ultra-portables, is said to be available in different colors and is rumored to be available at an attractive price tag of around $200.
The netboook also supports a range of social networking services and is accompanied with pre-loaded productivity tools. The thickness of the netbook is just 17.6 mm and it weighs less than 950 g which makes it easy to be carried anywhere.
