Hewlett-Packard freshly announced that it is about to float 11 new laptops into the tech world starting at just US$399. These laptops will be running AMD’s new chips which are code-named ‘Llano’.
These latest additions which utilize AMD’s latest VISION Technology combine a traditional CPU and a graphics processor (GPU) in one single chip that is expected to provide exceptional performance at a reasonable price as claimed by HP and AMD.
HP is taking all the initiatives necessary to make the laptops look familiar to those acquainted with HP’s current notebooks. The AMD-powered PCs which are targeted at both the consumers and businesses share the same classic chassis designs as the HPs Intel-equipped versions such as the HP Pavilion and HP ProBook lines.
The A-series chips which have CPUs running between 2.3GHz and 2.5GHz and Radeon graphics processors running between 1.4GHz and 2.1GHz are faster and more power-efficient and the laptops equipped with them are expected to provide longer battery.
