BlackBerry Bold 9900 Available in India from Next Week

RIM is all set to offer the Indian customers a new handset in the form of Blackberry Bold 9900. The handset which combines a QWERTY keyboard with a glossy capacitive touchscreen runs on the latest Black Berry OS.

The handset is supposed to be the companies thinnest smarphone (along with BlackBerry Bold 9930) measuring at just 10.5 mm in thickness.
The smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and its 2.8 inch VGA touchscreen has a resolution of 640×480 pixels. Other specifications include: 8GB onboard memory that can be expanded up to 32GB; 768 MB of RAM; dual band Wi-Fi; and, a 5 mega pixel camera with LED flash along with 720p HD video recording.
In addition the handset has a built-in magnetometer, micro SD card slot, and GPS. The handset also supports Near Field Communication technology.
The expected price for the handset in India is Rs. 34,000 and it is supposed to be available by August 17.
