Samsung Announces 4 New Galaxy Smartphones

Korean manufacturer Samsung has announced recently that it is going to add four new smartphones to its Galaxy range meaning that all the four would be running Android. The new smartphones under the Galaxy range are – Galaxy Y, Galaxy W, Galaxy Y Pro, and Galaxy M Pro.

So let’s have a quick look at all these new smartphones

Samsung Galaxy Y


The Galaxy Y runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a 832 MHz processor. Other additions to this smartphone include a 2 mega pixel camera, 3 inch screen with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0.

Samsung Galaxy Y Pro

This one too runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has features similar to the Galaxy Y including the 2 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. What makes it obviously stand out is that it is a QWERTY version of Galaxy Y. It boasts a 2.6-inch display and has the same processor as the Galaxy Y.

Samsung Galaxy W

Coming up nest is the Galaxy W that has a 3.7 inch display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels and this runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread as well. Of course it is powered by a 1.4 GHz processor and it even has a considerable 5 MP camera. Other features for the Galaxy W include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1. It supports 3G connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy M Pro

The Galaxy M Pro is another QWERTY smartphone to this latest addition and has features similar to the Galaxy Pro when it comes to the OS and the 1 GHz processor. It is further equipped with a 5 MP rear camera together with a VGA camera (front facing). It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity and Bluetooth 3.0.
