Following the success of its Galaxy S2, Samsung has freshly announced the launch of another latest Android Smartphone – the Galaxy R, which is somewhat similar to S2 and comes with a 4.2 inch super clear LCD display with 800×480 pixel resolution.
The Galaxy R comes with Android Gingerbread v2.3 OS and is supported by a 1 GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor and it also boasts TouchWiz 4.0 user interface.
Other features include: 5 mega pixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash; 1.3 mega pixel front camera for video calling; 8GB internal memory; microSD card slot with 32GB expandable memory; music player with SoundAlive EQ; Bluetooth; W-Fi; 3.5 mm earphone jack; EDGE; USB 2.0; GPRS; and, Stereo FM radio.
The handset can record 720p high definition videos and it includes Java apps, a digital compass while also supporting 3G network features. It comes equipped with a 1650mAh Li-Po battery to power its needs and provides up to 9 hours of talk time and 620 hours of standby time. It further features GPS navigation and HTML web browser.
The device is supposed to be launched in September but the exact launch date and the pricing information is not yet confirmed.
