New Android Smartphone from HTC Codenamed Runnymede

HTC seems to be working on another Android Smartphone dubbed as Runnymede which is expected to be released by the end of this year. The handset comes with a huge 4.7 inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels.

The smartphone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by 1.5 GHz Scorpion single-core processor. It boasts an 8 mega pixel camera at the rear with dual LED flash and even has a front-facing camera for voice calling.
As shown off in most of the images on the web, the smartphone displays the Beats Audio logo which means that HTC will use the audio technology from its recent investment. The handset comes accompanied with the Beats headset that allows the users to listen to pure music.
Other specifications for the HTC Runnymede include: HTC Sence UI; internal storage of 16 or 32 GB; 768 MB of RAM; Bluetooth v3.0; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; USB 2.0; 3.5 mm audio jack; EDGE; GPRS; and, Geo-tagging.
It also has accelerometer sensor, and a proximity sensor for auto turn-off. It further supports multi-touch input method and has touch-sensitive controls. Other standard features and applications such as support for Adobe Flash and Google Search, Maps and Mail are added benefits for the users.
Unfortunately the pricing and launch details have yet to be revealed.
