Sony Tablet P with Dual 5.5″ Touch Screens

A tablet that can be folded implies that you get the benefit of a large tablet screen and a convenient pocketable small device.

Playing games on Sony Tablet P feels like playing on a real PlayStation gaming device while reading an e-book gives the feeling of holding a real folded book in your hand. With the tablet war in top gear and companies dishing out look-alikes, Sony seems to have gone an extra mile to plate up something unique.

Sony Tablet P features not one but two 5.5-inches touch screens which when opened give a full 10″ screen for a unique experience unlike you have had with any other device.

Given a clamshell design, both the screens have 1024 x 480-pixel resolution. With Sony’s TruBlack display, you get vibrant colours and deeper blacks giving you amazing pictures.

It houses 1 GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor with an unimpressive 4GB storage space. It does have a microSD slot to add extra storage. Currently running Android Honeycomb, Sony plans to upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 later.

Fast Internet access can be achieved via Wi-Fi while connectivity to other devices is achieved via Bluetooth. A 3080mH Li-Ion battery gives you long backup. Sony Tablet P A 5 megapixel rear camera for taking pictures and a VGA front camera for video conferencing.

Looks like a PSP gaming device and the first tablet to be PlayStation certified, Sony Tablet P will be highly accepted. It comes preinstalled with the Crash Bandicoot besides free 180 days memberships to Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited and Reader Store.

Cashing on its unique dual screen, Sony has launched it in UK with a whooping price tag of £500 or Rs. 40,500/-.
