Another jewel to be added to the LG’s crown is the Optimus 2X Smartphone with the 1 GHz dual core processor. This Android phone promises a definite performance improvement compared to the other Smartphones powered by 1GHz single core processors
Apart from being a very capable phone, it includes a good camera and offers an excellent display. It also features HDMI video out capability and 8GB built-in storage. Compared to the Samsung Nexus S, HTC Incredible S, and the Sony Ericsson’s both Arc and Play, it is priced around Rs. 26k, making it a definitely better deal.
It features a 4.0-inch screen and has a Gorilla Glass type display. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack on top of it and micro USB port and dual speakers at the bottom. It also sports an 8MP camera with LED flash.
The device comes with Android 2.2 and the makers are promising to update it for Android 2.3 very soon. This should be a major drawback to the Optimus 2X as similar Smartphones like Galaxy S II do already have Android 2.3.
The phone comes with 512 MB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, and will hold up to 32GB in a microSD card. At the heart of this Smartphone is the ARM Cortex A9 dual core processor, clocking at 1 GHz, with the Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset.
