Pandigital’s Nova Android tablet looks like a worthy addition to the lower-end Android market. The 7-inch digital reader is now available at Best Buy for $170.
The Nova has a resolution of 600×800 pixels and it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and is powered by a 800MHz processor. Other specification of the tablet include: built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity; a microSD card slot; and, front and rear cameras.
It also features a USB 2.0 port that enables faster data transfer, 4GB internal storage, and Micro-HDMI output that enables users to stream videos onto their HDTVs. In addition, the tablet has direct access to the Barnes & Noble e-book collection with its bookstore software which makes it the low-priced Android Tablet that anyone wants to pocket in.
The Pandigital Nova is pretty slim being just half an inch in thickness and it weighs a mere 14 ounces. However, the main downside is the poor battery life and it also seems that there is no word of official support for Android Market and other Google Services.
