The Optimus Sol Is the New Android Smartphone from LG

LG has announced another smartphone dubbed as LG Optimus Sol. It runs Android Gingerbread 2.3 and has 3.8 inches “ultra” AMOLED display that is, as claimed by LG, supposed to offer double the reflection rate when compared to other standard AMOLED displays. The feature enables the users to view the the screen even in direct sunlight.

The smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor and it also has a feature called Dark UI that absorbs less white light thus saving up to 20-30 percent of the phone’s battery.
Other specifications for the LG Optimus Sol include: 512MB of RAM; 2GB ROM; a 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and auto focus; Wifi 802.11 b/g/n; Bluetooth 3.0; DLNA; and, GPS.
The dimensions of the handset are 122.5×62.5×9.8 mm and it is loaded with a 1500 mAh battery for its power needs. It is available in different color options of black, white and titan and will be available in stores in Q4 of this year. Pricing details are not available.
